We took the vocab test today....

With MONTE CRISTO, we TOOK NOTES on some of the major themes AND some of the major happenings in the first 7 chapters...if you weren't here, get what you missed....and READ!

I gave a handout labeled "pop quiz" but it wasn't really a quiz...it was to serve as a study guide for the first few chapters....

Explained characters and their relationships...

For next class, please read chapters 8 THROUGH 12....you should ALWAYS expect a short reading quiz!!! :/

Today we began watching THE GOONIES in order to make connections with "Epic Hero" stories...you were given a graphic organizer/epic hero chart to complete while you watch the film...this will be due and graded after the film....

Your vocab quiz has been moved to NEXT TUESDAY the 14th!!!!

We went over the expectations for the book (no phone while reading aloud, etc)....see me if you were not here today!!!

We took some notes on the philosophical parts of the story.....

Your assignment is to read chapters 1 THROUGH 7.

We did a practice PrentinceHallLiteracy test and went over it....then you were given one to do at home...this will count as a test grade and it is due next class!
