ORANGE DAY

COLLEGE ENGLISH

Today we went over the final soliloquy for Act 2...you were asked to read the soliloquy for today AND craft a "Dramatic Situation Web" for a line you felt was significant or important....we shared some of those lines in class, as a way to discuss Hamlet's mindset at the end of Act 2....we then talked about PsychologicalAssociation and how Hamlet will use that in order to get revenge on his Uncle...we began the film for Act 2 and we will watch the rest of it on Monday....

How would you describe it? What details are there?

COLLEGE PREP 12

We continued with our discussion of literary devices today...we finished the two photocopied "study guides" where you were presented with scenarios and you had to tell WHAT literary device was being used...and why.....

Blank "information maps" were given out and you were asked to start (and finish for next class!) your own information map...come see me and I will explain it more to you!

ORANGE DAY

COLLEGE ENGLISH

Today in HAMLET we did a lot of reading/skipping around in Act 2 Scene 2, so please make sure you get the notes if you missed today...we learned about taking notes with the "Dramatic Situation" strategy, and you were assigned to do a dramatic situation based on one of the lines I gave you on your study guide....for Thursday's class I would like you to do two things. First, read Hamlet's final soliloquy in Act 2 (it starts with O WHAT A ROGUE AND PEASANT SLAVE AM I....). Second, please find a line you feel you can analyze and craft another "Dramatic Situation Web" to be turned in on Thursday. See me with any questions, as we skipped a bunch of stuff in scene 2 today....
