BLACK DAY
SENIOR ENGLISH CLASSES
Today we quickly went over the journal response rubric and then we began reading the article "In Defense of Boredom." This was chosen on purpose BECAUSE it is a little more difficult and verbose. We began reading the article aloud and then time was given to write a half page minimum response to it

Your vocab quiz will be next WED

-define/outline 'cultural hero' and how they exist in our culture
(paul bunyan...johnny appleseed.....chuck norris...etc....)

......that is as far as we got because block 2 got called down for senior ID pictures
so........your assignment is:
a. read part 2 (The Battle With Grendel's Mother)
b. be prepared for a quiz on Wednesday....on the quiz we will cover background notes/history and the first two reading sections!
