1. Vocab
-go over final three or four words we didnt get to last time....your quiz on these words will be next Thursday!

2. Personal narrative
-today we began talking about leads
-worksheet on effective leads using the QUESTION, ANECDOTE, QUOTE, SHOCK method...
-quick writing prompt trying out this strategy
-for next class, I would like you to come with a DRAFT of the personal narrative/college essay you will pass in for a grade...you should make sure that your draft is printed out....you should make sure your draft satisfies the first two elements of the rubric a) being rich in voice b) having a lead/opening from the QAQS strategy....you may write about whatever you want....however, if you need a prompt, you can choose from one of the two I gave classes last year:
 *what is your talisman and why?
 *what do your clothes say about you?
