1. Personal narrative
-review and go over sentence combining --the "jay and the waves" paragraph in particular!
-be sure you are clear with sentence variety strategies, as we will continue with them EVEN AFTER your final drafts are due....by the way, your final drafts are due on WEDNESDAY!!!
-we took a good chunk of time and workshopped our personal narratives.....please be sure to follow the rubric...your personal narratives must be
1. STRONG IN VOICE
2. HAVE A LEAD THAT STARTS WITH A QUESTION, A QUOTE, A SHOCKING STATEMENT, OR AN ANECDOTE
3. HAVE AT LEAST FOUR SENTENCES THAT BEGIN WITH AN ADJECTIVE, PREPOSITION, OR PARTICIPLE PHRASE
