DUAL ENROLLMENT
1. "The Lottery"
-go over story with notes on symbolism, typological names, etc etc
-closure to conversation about traditions that might seem offensive, unnecessary, etc...and how this relates to the story
2. "Once More to the Lake" by E.B. White
-collect compositions about a predominant literary device in the essay
-go over some of the essay...talk about conflicts involved, the idea of 'place,' etc...
3. No reading for tonight...we will begin our next two stories on Wednesday

COLLEGE PREP 11

1. THE RED BADGE OF COURAGE
-take test
-do 'realism' charts for 'Badge,' as well as one for a pop culture example...see what stereotypes and generalizations exist ....make sure you bring this to the next class, as it will help you when I assign your composition on Wednesday
2. Prepare for the vocab test which is on WEDNESDAY
