1 College Essay
-please see honors class blog from yesterday....you folks actually have the same thing
-we started college essay vocab today....we will finish the words next time
2. Touch base regarding papers....these are due on Friday....please see the last blog entry for specifics...or come see me....
COLLEGE PREP 9
1. "The Pit and the Pendulum"
-go over story....discuss sensory images and unreliable narrator....
2. "The Black Cat"
-intro story and begin reading in class
-please finish the story at home and please write down some quotes/details/reasons why you can tell the narrator is crazy, delusional, and UNRELIABLE as a narrator....
3. Short Story Paper
-NOTE: On Friday, I will give you guys time in class to be working on your papers....I will be talking to you and conferencing with you, etc....your paper is due AT END OF CLASS, so use your time wisely....it might be a good idea to come in to class with some stuff already written, etc!
HONORS/DUAL ENROLLMENT
1. Papers
-pass back papers--commented upon, but not graded...
-utilize PUSH, PRAISE, PONDER strategy with partners
-utilize "StarSystem" on your own
-make changes and revision, then pass in to have this combined with my stuff for a grade!
2. College Essay
-Disjunctive Syllogism game
-watch JoJo laugh....
