1 Vocab-Greek and Latin root words #2
-do definitions for words and roots
-your HW is to find TWO WORDS for each one of the four roots...write the word and the definition down!
2. Paragraph writing
-read, analyze, discuss PORCHES with topic sentences, supporting details, etc
-write to the prompt "A Place to Remember" and make sure you give me THREE good supporting paragraphs about a place that has meaning to you...WHY does this place have meaning? WHAT is important about it? etc....come see me beforehand if you are confused
-YOU. MUST. HAVE. A. HARD. COPY. OF. YOUR. PAPER. IN. CLASS. no emailing me or "i have to print it" etc....

HONORS
1. Vocab-new list for test next week....cultural literacy
2. Sentence variety writing
-explain strategies for alternating sentence beginnings...not just using nouns
-distribute sheet and work on revising sentences...please complete this for next time and we will go over it
-your final essay will be due next MONDAY
