-read the entire soliloquy 'to be or not to be...' on your own and do a WRITTEN dramatic situation for a line of text that you pull out of the soliloquy....this is due at the end of class

-will be an exam on Act 2 or HAMLET  as well as Act 3 scene 1....you may not use your notes, so please study accordingly!

-discuss 2.2 via the dramatic situations you did...also, there were additional notes taken in class on this....
-Begin film for Act 2...TAKE GOOD NOTES as we 'read' the film
-there are TWO dramatic situation webs I want you to do for next class. The first one is a 'free choice' from any line you find in the film viewing today (whether we talked about it or not!)....the second one must come from the final soliloquy of Act 2 (the one that starts with Hamlet saying "so goodbye to you...o what a rogue and peasant slave am I...")....therefore, be sure to READ and UNDERSTAND that final soliloquy and understand what Hamlet is talking about....choose any line you want from that soliloquy and do the dramatic situation for it....
2. Vocab-your test is on Tuesday!

-take test on "farm in the clearing" and "night on the mountain"
-go over these two chapters via going over the tests!
-there is no new reading assignment for tonight

-review exercises 1 and 2 in the books...
-we will NOT have the quiz on Friday....the quiz has been moved to TUESDAY of next week...this is because we will meet in class on Friday and then go to the library to work on research.....

HONORS/DUAL ENROLLMENT

-teach 'dramatic situation' webs and the technique for responding to drama
-start on 2.2 where we left off last time, and read until the PLAYERS come in and Polonius says 'this business is well ended"
-choose from the three quotes on the board and do the dramatic situation for one of them (this done in class)
-choose another one from the list (or one from your choice!) and do a dramatic situation web for Friday
-The choices are "As the indifferent children of the earth" "Denmark's a prison" "O Jephthah, judge of Israel, what a treasure had'st thou!"
2 Vocab test has been moved to TUESDAY!

1. Guidance was in today (and they will be in on Thursday as well) to talk to you about college applications, etc etc. If you did not see them today, MAKE SURE you see them!! Your job for NEXT MONDAY is to finish reading Huck Finn. There will be a reading check quiz to make sure you did this. You should be starting on pate 221/Chapter 36...thanks!
