1. New vocab words were given today-->Greek and Roman mythology words that have made their way into our "American English" language....in addition to knowing the definitions of the words, you must also know the origin of where they come from in mythology.....

1. Vocab quiz today on Greek mythology words
2. HAMLET
-reminder of composition due on Wednesday....describe the predominant mood Hamlet displays in Act 3...discussed the importance of using evidence from the text...
-assigned Act 4 "skits" and get in groups depending on which scene is assigned to you...these skits will be performed on Friday...you will have Wed. to work on them in class

-go over the study guide I gave for the section you were supposed to read in Act 3...(start where Hamlet says LET THE STRUCKEN DEER GO WEEP!" and ending where Polonius enters the scene in scene 3
-be sure to know the terms/quotes on the study guide...even though it was not collected
-View/Read film of Act 3
-Your Act 3 test...which is due next Wednesday...is to use the 'emotion sheet' I passed out and "Describe Hamlet's one PREDOMINANT emotion in Act 3." Select quotes/evidence to prove this in your writing

Today in class we went over the soliloquy that ended Act 2....the quote analysis of a line from that scene was collected...then we began to view the film of Act 2....there will be a test on THURSDAY on Act 2...you may not use your notes on this test...this test will be set up in such a way that I ask you to clarify/explain terms and quotes we've discussed in Act 2
