SUB PLANS FOR THURSDAY OCTOBER 6

SUB PLANS
JARED GOLDSMITH
THURSDAY OCT 6

Thanks for subbing for me today as I am out of state at a funeral. Today is an early release day and school ends at 11:30. My schedule and plan is as follows:

BLOCK 1-Free (conference period)

BLOCK 2-College English: I have told the class this plan ahead of time. We are beginning our unit on writing college essays. During the last class, students were given a list of words that might be helpful on personal narrative essays. The words—if they need them—are listed on the blog entry from this past Tuesday. I told them I would like them to finish defining all the words (they can use chromebooks, phones, dictionaries, etc) and then put each one in a sentence using THEMSELVES as the subject of that sentence. After they are done with this, they may read quietly. Please do not collect any of their work...please have them bring it with them for next class and have them know it will be COLLECTED

(Break for all students after block 2)

BLOCK 3-I have lunch duty with the Honorable Peter Bolduc during block 3. However, since today is an early release day, there is no lunch duty during the normal lunch duty time

BLOCK 4-College English –this is the other section of the block 2 class....please have them do the same plan as block 2...thanks!

LUNCH – Block 4 ends at 1130 and then students go to lunch before boarding the buses..

Thanks again for your help today! If you have any questions, see Ellen Pinkham next door to me!

****NOTE****The early release schedule for WinslowHighSchool is in my green sub folder if there are any questions!

****NOTE****Please instruct the students that I am copy and pasting these lesson plans to my blog (www.goldsmithenglish.blogspot.com) should any questions arise!
